"Serve for the sake of serving, give for the sake of giving and love for the sake of loving."
Dr. Ronald Rice graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1968. He established the Rice Chiropractic Center in Oregon, Il in February 1969 and practiced there until 1975. In September 1975 he and his family moved to Dekalb and established the Rice Chiropractic Life Center.

For the past thirty two years Dr. Rice has provided chiropractic care to the families of DeKalb County. He established a “free” children’s clinic as a way of thanking the families for giving him the opportunity to care for their chiropractic health needs. The clinic is free on Tuesday and Thursday for all kids age birth through high school. A family type practice was established with a reduced fee for families receiving care on the same day of the week. They also have a very active senior citizen practice and our doctors are “assigned providers” for Medicare which means we wait for payment from Medicare for the services we provide. We also accept Medicaid patients and their families. Patients who have been injured at work or involved in personal or auto accidents are welcomed at our office.

Dr. Rice is assisted by Dr. Theodore Paul in caring for their patients. Dr. Rice’s daughter Courtney is active in the practice as the Licensed Massage Therapist. His son Brent is the Office Manager responsible for overseeing the clerical duties of the clinic as well as taking care of the day to day needs of the clinic staff as they provide the necessary paperwork to bill insurance, collect fees, and all the other various duties of clinic staff. The staff of Rice Chiropractic Life Center have a faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and dedicate their office daily in service to Him.

Dr. Theodore Paul

Dr. Paul

Dr. Theodore Paul graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1983. His desire to be a chiropractor goes way back to his childhood when he told his family chiropractor that he was going to become a chiropractor when he grew up. Dr. Paul believes that his calling in life started long before that as his mother prayed for a chiropractor in the family before he was born! He grew up in Morrison, Illinois the son of the late Vernon and Ardath Paul. Their loving Christian influence in his life has been a great source of strength and determination in becoming a chiropractor and in all phases of his life. Dr. Paul is married to the love of his life Dawn. It is his great joy and blessing to serve the Lord side by side with her. They are blessed with one daughter Mackenzie Grace.
Dr. Paul graduated from Sauk Valley Community College prior to attending Palmer College. Dr. Paul uses the Palmer method of technique in his practice. In addition he implements the Activator Method, Impulse adjusting method and Graston technique, which is a soft tissue technique that is very effective for muscle strains and injuries associated with athletic injuries.
Dr. Paul is a member of the Christian Chiropractors Association. He strives to live out his faith in Jesus Christ in his everyday life and practice. He enjoys playing the piano and is part of the worship team at Kishwaukee Bible Church. He also enjoys sports, especially baseball. One of his hobbies is playing in Strat-O-Matic computer baseball leagues over the internet. Dr. Paul is an avid reader and can often be found at Starbucks relaxing over a great book.
